Description
Implement the CodeRED mass notification system to keep Akron residents informed during emergency and non-emergency situations.
Why is This Important
Timely, reliable information helps residents make informed decisions and stay safe. CodeRED gives the City a direct line to notify residents quickly about what is happening in their community and what they need to know.
Initiative Wins
Launched a Phase 1 of CodeRED deployment focused on non-emergency notifications such as road closures, utility service disruptions, and warming center information.
Grew opt-in registrations to 2,200+ residents as of March 2026.
