Akron's young people deserve a clear path from school to career. Deepening partnerships with CCAA helps ensure APS students have access to certifications, internships, and workforce connections that lead to good jobs right here in Akron.
Initiative Wins
Convened AFD, APS, and Stark State College to expand Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification opportunities for APS students.
Advanced an electrician workforce pipeline partnership with IBEW, United Way, and Akron Public Schools.
Developed a new partnership in the early childhood career pathway at North High School with the Early Childhood Resource Center.
