Improve access to Akron's Community Learning Centers (CLCs) for community organizations, neighborhood groups, and residents.

Why is This Important

Community Learning Centers are valuable assets in Akron's neighborhoods, but accessing them should be simple. Removing barriers and streamlining the rental process ensures that more community groups and residents can use these spaces for programming, meetings, and events.

Initiative Wins

Implemented an online reservation system to streamline CLC access.
Created, and secured Board of Education approval of a shared CLC handbook with Akron Public Schools (APS) simplifying the community rental process.
Eliminated base rental fees for nonprofit organizations.
